I was able to sleep in today and that was wonderful.
It was storming when I woke and that made it that much harder to climb out of bed. I always sleep better when it’s raining real hard.
The week was a non stop one.
I was in New York from Monday through Wednesday and it was hot as hell. 97 to 99 on Monday and my hotel room had no air. It was really miserable. It’s the first time I have been to New York as an adult. It was fun, but I definitely enjoy other cities more.
We were about a block or two from Time Square.
Tuesday night was just as hot until about 9:30 when a storm blew in real fast. It kicked up dirt that covered the city like a black fog. Trash and bags were flying 40 floors up, zipping in and out of streets. I was still blowing black crap out of my nose Thursday night.
This is what street level looked like. It was fun.
It went on for a little while.
Video of Time Square for those who haven’t been.

Tuesday we were at the Licensing show for most of the day. It was a good show and I was glad to have gone.
Wednesday was a little shopping for work and we ran through the Met. It wasn’t very long but they have some impressive pieces. I was very disappointed that the American exhibit was down at the time. I have been waiting for years to see Washington crossing the Delaware and it was off display. Next time maybe.
Thursday was jut playing catch up and was very short feeling. Things are going great at work though and I’m excited for the next year. Everything is changing so fast.
Friday I finished my tattoo. Well almost. It’s done. I just go back for touch ups in December. I was so tender and swollen at the end of it that we could only put down thin lines at the top and bottom of the design. They will go thicker in December when I go in for a touch up.

Saturday was Daddy Daughter day and it was fun.
We played as much as my leg allowed.
Video for you

Some new pictures as well.

And that brings us to Fathers day. Amy let me sleep in, cooked me french toast, and let me work on the blog and work stuff I have to finish by tomorrow. My grandmother is heading over for Dinner and the Celtics are going to beat the Lakers tonight. It’s a great day.
That’s all I have.
Take it easy.

The weekend was nice and warm. We had Tornadoes in Omaha on Saturday night. Took the roofs off of houses. First time sirens have gone off in the middle of the night in Years for us. Amy was freaked out. Maelee thought it was time to play.
She fell back to sleep holding two Transformers Amy gave her to play with when they were in the basement. It was cute.
We were at my parents place for Friday and Saturday. In the pool, in the sprinkler. Maelee had a good time.
I’m off to New York tomorrow. Should be a good time. I will try to take some images. Maybe sketch some.
Until I get back I leave you with more images of the young one.
I’m still getting the hang of the video thing. Not sure how to save them and show them. The compression thing gets me.
This time it’s a windows file. Not a mov file. Some people complained.
Sorry for the size (about 5 meg)

Can’t win them all.
Have a good one.

Maelee is picking up words by the day. Which means Mom and Dad have to watch what they are saying. We’ve been caught at least once (dad probably more) with here repeating what we’ve said.
Really fun at times.
Couple more images for you.

I will try to post more by the end of the week, but we have a lot going on.
Have a good one.

The first two portraits are done. They went quickly when I was able to work on them. I know I started them a while ago. It’s just been lack of time or not wanting to draw when I did have time. Each were completed within 6 to 8 hours total time. Not to bad.

They were fun to do. I started my brother first because It had been a while since I’ve worked this way and I wanted to work out the rust. I finished my grandparents first because that one was a gift and needed to be completed by today. Two more to go. I will keep you updated on them.

I hope to have another sketchbook page for you soon.
Have a good one.
