Good and bad all over.
Maelee was horribly sick all week last week. Amy worked wonders but it was a very hard week for her. It’s tough when the little one is very sick and you can’t do anything to help them.
She is phenomenal with Maelee though.
Thursday was the worst day with stories that I will not share here just in case you are eating something. It was a day Amy and I will remember though. Very gross.

Thursday was also the day that I went into the doctor to find out that the reason my leg with the new tattoo keeps swelling is because I am very heavy. I’m probably the largest I have ever been right now and my body just isn’t keeping up with m eating habits.
Right after getting my new tattoo I did a ton of work that I probably shouldn’t have done on it. That just made things drastically worse, but either way I need to bring down the weight. So I have new goals this summer.

I go in the 13th of June and have it finished. I’m really happy with it so fare and can’t wait for the rest to be finished. It’s a bit lighter than I wanted. I was hoping for a richer black. It’s not bad though.

New Sketchbook.

Other things…
I’m in NYNY for the first time as an adult in June from the 9th through the 11th. I’m pretty sure I was there as a kid once. I wont have a ton of time to do things, but it should be fun.

Amy and I are in San Fransisco in August from the 8 through the 12th. We are really looking forward to this trip. It will also be the longest we have been away from Maelee so that should be interesting.

I’ve been working on the portraits and will share those soon with you. They are fun to work on.

Work has been non stop as of late and that’s just as good as bad. Stressful as much as it is fun. I will have many things to get accomplished this week.

Just playing around in the sketchbook.

I had plans tonight to work on my portraits. I’ve been looking forward to it all day. Around 2 or so though I started with a wicked sinus headache and it’s still not gone.
I’m heading down to work on them now  but I’m not sure what I will get done.

It’s hard to work when you feel like your face is going to explode.

I’ve fallen into a pattern of only posting once a week and I really need to break that.
Tonight was a good night. I worked on several pictures and have most of them moving along nicely. Here is the one of my brother. Last time I posted this I just had markers down.
Tonight was more pencil and some watercolors. I hope to have some more pencils soon.

It’s still really rough. Right where I want it to be though. I’ve been using this one as my practice page. It’s been to long since I’ve used these tools so it’s good to have something to work out the kinks on.

I wish I could share the others, but I can’t for right now.
Soon though. If I have the time.
I will also have some more sketchbook stuff for you.

As a thank you to the fans, Trent Reznor has placed his next album on line for free. I dug the free samples that appeared on line last week and I’m sure I will dig this. I have grown with hi music and really like what he has been doing in the last couple of years. I don’t think I could deal with the self loathing and hate that dominated his first several albums. I’ve moved on from that. He is on top of his game right now. I don’t know if I’ve seen a music artist so creative in such a small span.
