The two images shown above were done one night right before Anna was born. About a day or two. The waiting game is no fun. I really should have sketched more, but I just couldn’t get into it.
This sketchbook is finished and I have moved on to another.
This sketchbook only took me a year and a half to finish.
The sketchbook before that took 10 years.
At least I’m getting faster.

This was from over a week ago, but I’ve been swamped and have not had a chance to share.
The sketches above are all 10,15 and one 20 min sketch after several beers. The young lady posing for us that night was 5 months pregnant and did great. She was a real sport for standing and sitting for as long as she did.
Bad news was that the group hosting the Sketchy’s group did not update their site until the night before. This was my third time going and it had the smallest turn out. I think it’s a great thing they put on and I would love to see more people turn out for it. Good artists, music in the back ground, and beer is only $1.50. Not a bad night you know?
Here is hoping they start pulling a larger crowd. I just started going to these and I would hate for them to wrap it up.
Second bit of bad news is that as of today one of the guys going with us to these events can no longer make it because of work. You will be missed Rick.
Who will buy my shots?

I joined two good friends Thursday night for Dr. Skechys here in Omaha.
Dr Sketchys is a burlesque life drawing event that happens once a month in most big towns or cities. Bunch of people get together to draw, drink, and B.S back and forth. It was started in New York and has branched out. Omaha has had one for months now. I just haven’t gone.
It was my first time to the event and It wont be my last. It was a blast.
The model was great, and had several costume changes.
The company was good, and it was probably the first time in over 10 years that I have done that kind of life drawing.
I was horribly rusty, but it was a good rusty. Something I enjoyed doing even if I didn’t like what was making it on to the page.
Ten one minute poses

Some 2 minute poses

5 Minute poses

10 minute poses

10 and 20 minute poses

and that’s it. I look forward to doing this again. I think Rick and Dax agree. They enjoyed it just as much as I did.
Many others should join us for a beer.
Talk to you later.

Ok.
Nothing has really been going on. I’m still in my creative funk. It’s hitting me at work pretty good.
Nothing is clicking smoothly. It will work itself out. It always does.
Anyone creative that has had a block knows what it’s like though.
They are frustrating.

This has been the only thing I have put in my sketch book in over two months. Ouch.
Nothing good about it but a start.
On a positive note though, Maelee had her first halloween where she was going door to door by herself and loving it. She was a Fairy.

Nothing else other than that for right now. Maelee turns two in a week.
Thanksgiving and a ton of time off for the holidays will br relaxing.
I have to work on something so I don’t go nuts.
If anyone would like to buy me a 360 to keep me occupied for a couple of weeks I would like you forever.
I will try to start posting more soon.
I’ve really slacked off as of late, but I have had a ton going on and nothing to really post about at the same time.
I leave you with 70’s Cop day at work. It was a really fun day.

California was great. Amy and I had a blast. Weather was awesome. Went to a Giants game. Bought a lot of wine.
Walked around San Fransisco. It couldn’t have been better.
Here we are at Six Flags. Thanks to Jake and Jenny for putting up with us.

I hope they have a smooth ride back.
Some sketches while on break.

I will have some new work for you this weekend or next week. The catalogs areĀ out.
I just have to find the time.

My apologies to the guys in this sketchbook posting. They all look close, but non of them really look like who they are supposed to look like. That said, I enjoyed working on it.

I really can’t wait for this weekend. Amy and i are finally going out west for about 4+ days.
I really want to get the hell out of Dodge.
Away from Omaha.
Away from the job.
Away from all the other day to day crap that goes on.
I just need a break.
When I do get back I’ll share some photos, sketchbook pages, and some new jobs.
Till then,
