Ok.
Nothing has really been going on. I’m still in my creative funk. It’s hitting me at work pretty good.
Nothing is clicking smoothly. It will work itself out. It always does.
Anyone creative that has had a block knows what it’s like though.
They are frustrating.

This has been the only thing I have put in my sketch book in over two months. Ouch.
Nothing good about it but a start.
On a positive note though, Maelee had her first halloween where she was going door to door by herself and loving it. She was a Fairy.

Nothing else other than that for right now. Maelee turns two in a week.
Thanksgiving and a ton of time off for the holidays will br relaxing.
I have to work on something so I don’t go nuts.
If anyone would like to buy me a 360 to keep me occupied for a couple of weeks I would like you forever.
I will try to start posting more soon.
I’ve really slacked off as of late, but I have had a ton going on and nothing to really post about at the same time.
I leave you with 70’s Cop day at work. It was a really fun day.

New photos of the young one. 3 or 4 people jumped on me last week for not updating any new photos of her.
We will be better about that in the future. She is two next month! It’s going way to fast. Way to fast.
This is her first time sitting with the witch at Valas pumpkin patch. It didn’t go over to well.
Click the image for more photos.

We have been on the run lately and I haven’t really created anything on my own time. Just haven’t had a moment to sit down, and when I do I haven’t wanted to touch a pencil or pen.
I will try to work on something soon.

This is a portrait I finished up last night for a wonderful gal I used to work with. Two years ago I created a similar portrait of her daughter. She wanted one of her son around the same age.
I hope she likes it.
I’ll hand it off this week.
Been swamped at work, but it’s a good swamped. This week should get crazy.
Talk to you soon.

Spent the weekend at my parents place getting burned while sitting in the pool. Which is fun. It will probably be the last time this year we will be able to get away with that. I may post some pictures of the girls playing around.
For now, here is the last of the big Mad Scientist things that were done for this year.
Toxic Floor Cling! Put it at the front entrance for unwanted guests.

And here is the original rough for it.

I really hope to have some new work in my sketchbook soon to share. I just haven’t had time to crack it open.
I also really hope to have time to work on some Portraits soon.
Not sure when I will post again. Talk to you soon though.
Have a good one.

Click on image for a larger version. Door curtain to go with the Mad Scientist kit below. Top is made of cardboard and the bottom of vinyl. The pink line down the center is where it is split for you and your guests to walk through.
Below is the first sketch for it. Also a photo of the final product. It was fun to work on.

I really want to get to my sketch book again soon. Also would like to get back to the Portraits of the girls.
I’ll post again when I can.
Have a good one.

This is my Mad Scientist Design-A-Room set from work. The background is 30 foot long and the elements come on sheets 6 foot tall. As shown below they come broken down so you can place things where you would like them. I’ve done about 5 of these jobs now and they are very fun to do. Very time consuming. It’s all done in photoshop. No perspective or strong light source because all the elements come in many pieces. So things look off, but I don’t think they look that off. I hope they are not that off.
These are the elements. There are 4 sheets in two packs. Each sheet is a 3 foot x 6 foot clear plastic sheet that you cut up and place on the walls where you would like.

The layout for the packaging is my doing as well. I developed the layout and the feel of what our Design-A-Room product would look like on the shelves. I’m pleased with the way they came out, and think they look great in a store. I hope more places will start to carry them.

Here is the background

And to give you a feeling for the sizes of these jobs here is my buddy Eric standing with the set upon a wall.

Hope you dig them. You can find them here if you are interested in using them this fall. They make the party really fun.
I’ll have more for you in a bit.
Have a good one.
